Constitutional Lawyers Across Country to Present on Shelby Fallout

American Constitution Society (ACS) chapters across the country will hold events to explore the impact of the recent Supreme Court decision gutting the Voting Rights Act.

10/16 – Philadelphia, PA
The Earl Mack School of Law at Drexel University will hold “Shelby County v. Holder.” Professor Kermit Roosevelt will discuss the Supreme Court case, and speak about its impact and on Congress’ role in protecting the rights of voters.

10/16 – Columbia, MO
The University of Missouri School of Law will hold “Supreme Court Series: Shelby County v. Holder,” where Professor Richard Reuben will discuss the case.

10/23 – Los Angeles, CA
UCLA School of Law will hold “Exploring the Post-Shelby Voting Rights Act Framework,” where law professor Justin Levitt will conduct an in-depth analysis of the current Voting Rights Act framework following the Court’s Shelby decision.
